Today’s students do not lack intelligence, talent, or desire, but they find it difficult to flourish without caring people and structured support systems that embrace them in community care. Lesson to Remember: There is nothing in this universe that can overcome God’s love for you. Many drop out because they face seemingly insurmountable obstacles created by poverty, traumatic childhood experiences and systemic apathy. Whatever obstacle we face, God’s love is unconquerable, unsearchable and insurmountable. As one minister said, “God loves you as you are but that same love refuses to leave you as you are!” That unconditional love is transformational.
He knows every detail of our lives, yet He chooses to love us unconditionally. Psalm 139:1-6 reports God is fully knowledgeable of all we are. Romans 5:6-8 reminds us that when we were without strength, when we were the sinful enemy of God, Christ died for us as the single proof of His everlasting love. And it’s irrevocable-no force in the universe can separate us from that love. Ive seen him add new things that have brought insurmountable. Ive watched God prune people and distractions from my life. Over the last year I have been sifted daily. The days are flying by so fast, but the busyness does not excuse me from following him. His love is incontestable-it’s evidenced by the death and resurrection of His Son, Jesus. Our oldest child has chosen the college he will attend next year. Romans 8:31-39 tells us God’s love is unfathomable-it’s beyond all comprehension and measurement. He never changes so He can effect change in our lives. Hebrews 13:8 records “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” No matter our obstacles nor our societal changes, Christ remains the constant. That truth is our sole solution in the midst of complicated circumstances. It sounds pretty simplistic but Jesus’ words are simple truths that buttresses against all the forces of doubt, fear, and anxiety in our lives. In the midst of every circumstance, Jesus still speaks that singular truth that sends waves of peace to calm our greatest despair-God loves you with an everlasting love. Even institutions of faith seem to reel unsteadily from the seismic changes in our culture. The increasingly chaotic atmosphere in our society can grip us with paralyzing fear and anxiety. Obstacles in our work, finances, families, relationships, health and more can be overwhelming. If we’re totally transparent, there are moments life leaves us feeling defeated. We also continue to operate JC Penney Portraits by Lifetouch, where we are happy to capture life’s moments for your family following extensive safety protocols.“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?…Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”-Romans 8:31, 37 While we must close Lifetouch Church Photography, we will continue to photograph in schools and in preschools where our services remain critical to providing official documentation, like student IDs. We will complete any currently in-process directory publication. Despite the best efforts of this team and amazing partnership with communities of faith across the country, the ongoing impacts caused by COVID-19 and shelter-in-place mandates have been insurmountable. Unfortunately, due to the tremendous continued and unforeseen impact of COVID-19 on our business and our community, Lifetouch Church Photography has permanently stopped our operations. Hearing the stories from churches and families about how photography can bring communities together, bring happiness in times of joy, and provide comfort in times of sorrow has been an incredible privilege for our company and for our dedicated team of photographers. We are incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to capture beautiful images of families in houses of worship across the county over many years. It has been our honor to partner with churches and houses of worship across the country to provide programs that build community and foster connection.
